Vodago

Vodago is a pre-paid system launched by Vodacom in November 1996. No monthly contract or credit vetting is involved.

How it works
Users purchase a starter pack which is bought off the shelf for around R10 to R95 (including 14% VAT). The pack includes:

1. SIM (Subscribers Identity Module) card
2. A user manual
3. PIN (Personal Identification Number) number
4. PUK (PIN Unbloccking Code)
5. 10 minutes of free airtime

No international roaming is possible on Vodago
